The late Gov. Agustin Perdices of Negros Oriental died last January 5, 5:15 PM (1/5 5:15). He was also a 5-minute vice governor of the province! On June 30, he took oath as the vice governor and governor at the same day due to the principle of succession. He was thrust to the governorship when the re-elected Gov. Emilio Macias II expired days before the official oath-taking. Vice Gov. Roel Degamo took his oath as the new governor and 1st Board Member Apolinario Arnaiz Jr. as the new vice governor.
