As the growing tension for Philippine political supremacy builds up while election period is nearing, the chances of having a constitutional amendment (earlier planned by congressmen seeking extension of terms) and an election postponement are becoming slim. There are actually lots of indicators that the 2010 elections will come. Presidential wannabees are having side by side publicity stints, computerized election materializes, growth of media and citizens' political awareness and political parties announcements of their candidates.
Currently, there are still no clear presidential candidates per party and there is at least only one sure party announcing their vice presidential bet - KAMPI aims DILG Sec. Ronaldo Puno for VP shot. While parties are conservative in announcing their candidates for the top national positions, it seems that they are more willing to give information for their wishlist senatoriables. There are 2 parties who announced their tentative 2010 senatoriable list - Lakas-CMD and the United Opposition.
